Recently, Sanmen Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Sanmen Nuclear Power”) successfully issued the first medium-term note of 2023 in the inter-bank bond market, with the abbreviation “23 Sanmen Nuclear Power MTN001.” The issue amount was RMB 500 million, with a duration of “2+N” years and a coupon rate of 3.33%, which achieved the lowest interest rate of “2+N” years’ subordinated perpetual medium-term notes of the same grade of AAA enterprises on the day of issue.
Sanmen Nuclear Power is controlled by China National Nuclear Power Co., Ltd, and is fully responsible for the construction, debug, operation and management of the Sanmen Nuclear Power Project. The Project adopts the 3th generation nuclear power technology AP1000, and plans to build 6 nuclear power units with a capacity of 1.25 million kW (7.5 million kW in total) in 3 phases. The two units of the first phase have been put into operation, and the second phase of the project has begun.
