Senior Partner at Tiantai Law Firm Attended and Spoke at the 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE)

The 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE) opened on November 5 in Shanghai. During the Expo, an important event called “the International Forum on the High Quality Development of Manufacturing Industry under the Protection of the Rule of Law” was successfully held. This forum was hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and jointly held by China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, China Center for Information Industry Development, China Electronics Standardization Institute, China Federation of Industrial Economics, China Electronics Standardization Association and China Association of Communication Enterprises, aiming to give full play to the protection of the rule of law, to promote the new industrialization, and to accelerate the construction of manufacturing power and cyber power.

In this forum, leaders of the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuratorate, the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) and other ministries, as well as representatives of relevant international organizations, industry associations, law firms and enterprises, gathered to discuss how to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC, and to provide a strong protection of the rule of law for the high quality development of the manufacturing industry.

Mr. XIN Guobin, Vice Minister of the MIIT; Mr. TIAN Xin, Director of the Bureau of Lawyers’ Work of the MOJ; Mr. HU Chunjian, Deputy Director of the No.4 Prosecutors Office of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, and Mr. GUO Xiujiang, Vice Director of the Administrative Adjudication Tribunal of the Supreme People's Court, attended the forum and delivered speeches. They emphasized the importance of the rule of law in the development of the manufacturing industry and put forward specific opinions and suggestions on how to strengthen the rule of law and promote the high quality development of the manufacturing industry.

Ms. LI Fang, a Managing Partner of Tiantai Law Firm, was invited to the forum and delivered a speech. Ms. Li said that, in order to fully implement Xi Jinping thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era and the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC, the lawyers have actively carried out the special campaign on “Lawyers and Enterprises Working Hand in Hand to Serve the Real Economy,” which was jointly issued by the MOJ and the MIIT. In the context of promoting the rule of law and economic and social development of high quality, the lawyers and enterprises play as the logistics team and the vanguard. The strong combination of the two will provide the country with a strong rule of law protection and internal driving force.
