The Public Lecture on Intellectual Property Was Successfully Held by Tiantai Law Firm

With the rapid development of global science and technology and the increasing attention to competitive advantage, the intellectual property system has become a backbone force to promote the sustainable development of enterprises and an important way to improve their competitiveness. Recently, the public welfare training on “Advances in Intellectual Property (2023)”, which was jointly organized by China Intellectual Property Training Centre, International Intellectual Property Research Centre of Renmin University of China and Foshan Administration for Market Regulation, was successfully held at the Foshan base of China Intellectual Property Training Centre, with the support from Tiantai Law Firm. Professor Zhang Guangliang, the director of the International Intellectual Property Research Centre of Renmin University of China; Ma Xiang, the senior partner of Beijng Tiantai Law Firm; Tan Naiwen, the legal advisor of Tencent Group, and attorney Hou Yujing, respectively shared their views on the new developments in Patent Law, Trademark Law, Copyright Law, and Law for Countering Unfair Competition.

Mr. Ma Xiang introduced in detail the latest policies in the field of Trademark Law and the latest practice of trademark administration and judicial review from the practical cases, which was very informative with high pertinence, gaining positive feedback from the enterprises attending the meeting.

Guangdong is a province with rich IPRs, ranking first in China in terms of the number of effective invention patents, the number of international patent applications under PCT, the number of effective registered trademarks and other indexes.
