PROFILE

• Mr Wang Hui, graduated from East China University of Political Science and Law and Peking University successively, has a PhD from the Institute of International Law of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and is a visiting scholar at Stockholm University Law School in Sweden. He is currently a senior partner of Tiantai Law Firm, based in Beijing, China. He has extensive practical experience and resources in the areas of investment and financing, corporate management, and risk control and compliance. Mr Wang Hui's key biographical information is set out below:
  I. In terms of investment and financing risk management, he was the general manager of the Legal Compliance Department of China Jingu International Trust Co.,Ltd. and, as a member of the Investment Decision Making Committee, he was deeply involved in the approval of various types of trust products involving securitisation of credit assets, real estate funds, securities market and investments in the real economy, and was familiar with the design of transaction structure and risk control.
  Ⅱ. In terms of investment and corporate management, he has worked in the strategic investment department of China Cinda Asset Management Co., Ltd. and was responsible for the implementation and landing of many large-scale investment projects and several partnership funds. He also served as the chairman of an important platform company under Zhongguancun Development Group, leading a team to dock with academicians and experts of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, carrying out scientific and technological services in new materials and other fields, and engaging in the investment and incubation of hard science and technology achievements.
  Ⅲ. In terms of serving in government regulatory authorities, Mr Wang Hui has worked in Lanzhou New Area (Served as Deputy Director of the MC), the former regulatory department of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (CBIRC) and Xiong'an New Area, and has accumulated rich experience in Chinese government regulatory work. He is familiar with affairs in the fields of banking and insurance, customs and taxation, environmental protection and investment attraction.
  Ⅳ. In terms of his practice experience as a lawyer in China, he has extensive experience in dealing with acquisitions and restructuring, banking and finance, international law relating to foreign affairs and commercial arbitration and enforcement. He has represented a number of central enterprises, domestic and foreign financial institutions and foreign multinational corporations in major transaction projects, and led a team to participate in large-scale mergers and acquisitions and joint restructuring in the domestic building materials and electric power industries for many years in a row, providing comprehensive and fruitful legal services; he has also represented domestic and foreign clients in major commercial arbitration cases on behalf of them in the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) and the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce in Sweden. He has also represented domestic and foreign clients in major commercial arbitration cases at the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre and the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce.
