Profile

Attorney Xiao Bin，a doctor of civil and commercial law, was a senior visiting scholar of Law and Economics at the Law School of the University of Chicago, USA. After 2016 he is a full-time lawyer in Beijing Tiantai Law Firm, before then he taught and studied law and worked in a university, meanwhile he practiced as a part-time lawyer.

Since his practice as a lawyer in 2008, he has handled many major and difficult civil and commercial, criminal, and administrative disputes. He handled a number of data compliance, investment and financing, and foreign-related projects. In recent years, he has mainly served commercial banks, financial transaction platforms, asset management, technology companies and state agencies as a consultant lawyer. He will be committed to the systematic solution of new financial legal issues. His areas of expertise are banking finance, data compliance, investment, bankruptcy restructuring and commercial dispute resolution.

The research mainly focuses on the fields of financial law, guarantee law, and consumer law. Published dozens of professional papers, including 10 CSSCI and core journal papers; presided over a number of research topics. Representative book: ‘International Economic Law’ (Xiamen University Press); Representative paper: ‘the Sequence Rules of Security Property Rights on the Same Property’
